January 23, 2023

We are pleased to announce that Steven Golden has become a partner of the firm. Mr. Golden represents diverse constituencies including debtors and unsecured creditors’ committees in corporate bankruptcy proceedings, bankruptcy litigation, and out-of-court restructurings. His experience spans a variety of industries, including healthcare, retail, energy, entertainment, and food service. He has worked on numerous important firm matters including serving as counsel to Watsonville Hospital Corporation and CarbonLite in their chapter 11 proceedings and as creditors’ committee counsel in Borrego Community Health Foundation, Neiman Marcus, Studio Movie Grill, and Payless Shoes.

Mr. Golden is the inaugural chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Bankruptcy Committee’s Young and New Lawyers Subcommittee. In 2021, he was one of nineteen recipients of the inaugural ABA 20/20 Partners Rising Young Leader Award, which recognizes the nation’s top young bankruptcy lawyers who have demonstrated a commitment to business bankruptcy, community involvement, leadership, and professionalism. Mr. Golden is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors, the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court, and the International Insolvency Institute NextGen (Class X).

"When Steven joined our firm as a young attorney in 2016, he came highly recommended by my late mentor, bankruptcy giant Richard Lieb, and was Dick ever right about Steve’s talents and enthusiasm for the practice of bankruptcy law. I know Steve has a great career ahead of him at our firm and look forward to working with him in the future,” said Robert Feinstein, PSZJ’s New York managing partner.

“Steve is a hard-working, fast-learning attorney, who is developing into an outstanding insolvency practitioner. We are pleased to welcome him into the Firm’s Partnership, and we look forward to Steve’s continued growth in his representation of debtors, creditors’ committees, and other significant parties of interest,” said Brad Sandler, partner, management committee member, and long-term planning committee member.

Mr. Golden received his B.A. from Emory University, his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, and his LL.M. in Bankruptcy from St. John's University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Delaware, New York, Texas, and Maryland and is resident in our Delaware and New York offices.
