Buffets Restaurant Holdings (2012)

Representation as co-counsel to the creditors’ committee of Buffets Restaurants Holdings and related affiliates in their chapter 11 bankruptcy case in the District of Delaware. Buffets owns and operates the nation’s largest steak-buffet restaurant chain at over 400 locations throughout the United States, operating under the names Old Country Buffet, Country Buffet, and HomeTown Buffet. Through the firm’s efforts, Buffets was able to assist in negotiating an 8% to 9% distribution for unsecured creditors based on a plan that initially proposed to pay nothing to unsecured creditors.
